Summary: The study identified 17 co-expression modules specifically expressed in MI, 12 time-dependent lncRNA/mRNA clusters with consistent expression trends, mainly enriched in immune, cell cycle, and metabolic pathways. Gene markers specifically expressed in MI and potential precursors of MI were determined. Diagnostic models based on genes and lncRNAs showed high predictive performance.

Summary: Studies have shown that Dioscin significantly improves cardiac function in mouse models of myocardial infarction, reduces cardiac fibrosis and apoptosis, and promotes angiogenesis. Mechanistically, Dioscin enhances the proliferation and migration of hypoxic endothelial cells by up-regulating lncRNA MANTIS, leading to the induction of angiogenesis-related genes. This provides new insights into the cardioprotective effects of Dioscin and its impact on endothelial cell angiogenic activity.

Summary: This study proposed a novel bioinformatics model based on multivariate biomolecular network analysis to identify putative key miRNAs of myocardial infarction (MI). The model combined TRS, TFP, and AGP features and successfully screened 31 potential MI-related miRNAs, identifying genes associated with key MI pathways. These findings warrant further experimental and clinical validation for translational applications.

Summary: Pediatric sepsis is a significant threat globally, and the pathogenesis remains unclear. This study identified differentially expressed mRNAs and lncRNAs associated with pediatric sepsis using the GEO database and conducted WGCNA to explore co-expression modules. Through GO and KEGG pathway analysis, the study revealed hub genes and their potential diagnostic markers for pediatric sepsis. The findings provide valuable insights for studying the molecular mechanisms of pediatric sepsis.

Summary: In this study, potential markers of AMI were identified through analysis of differentially expressed genes between AMI and control groups. Further functional enrichment analysis revealed the key roles of these markers in RAGE receptor binding and negative regulation of T cell cytokine production. Moreover, functional enrichment analysis of these markers in different pathways provided insights into the molecular mechanisms of AMI.

Summary: The SARS-CoV-2 virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic presents distinct clinical features in severely affected patients, with multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines found in their plasma. A study identified four differentially expressed lncRNAs strongly correlated with immune-related pathways crucial for cytokine signaling during severe SARS-CoV-2 infection, potentially contributing to hyper-inflammatory responses.

Summary: This study identified novel lncRNAs with important functions in the carcinogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) through the construction of an lncRNA expression profile. A co-expression network of lncRNAs and mRNAs was constructed to shed light on the functions of these unknown lncRNAs and their relationship with mRNAs. The findings helped identify key lncRNAs in the carcinogenesis of NPC and provided clues for further investigation. The newly identified lncRNAs may have clinic value as biomarkers and therapeutic targets for NPC diagnosis and treatment.
