Summary: A novel bacterial strain RMG13T was isolated from soil in Siheung-si, Republic of Korea. Through polyphasic analysis, it was determined that RMG13T belongs to the genus Pseudarthrobacter and is most closely related to Pseudarthrobacter sulfonivorans ALLT and Pseudarthrobacter psychrotolerans YJ56T. RMG13T exhibits unique phenotypic, genotypic, and chemotaxonomic characteristics, leading to its proposed classification as Pseudarthrobacter humi sp. nov.

Summary: A new actinobacterium strain, Ornithinimicrobium sediminis sp. nov., was isolated from saline lake sediment in Xinjiang Province, China. It formed a distinct clade with Ornithinimicrobium murale and Ornithinimicrobium cavernae based on phylogenetic analysis and 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities. The strain exhibited unique phenotypic, physiological, and genotypic characteristics, distinguishing it from other species of the genus Ornithinimicrobium.

Summary: A novel Gram-staining-positive, heterotrophic, non-spore-forming, non-motile, rod-shaped strain ZS14-85(T) belonging to the genus Cryobacterium was isolated from soil in Antarctica. It showed growth in 0-2% (w/v) NaCl, at pH 7.0-9.0 (optimum at pH 7.0) and 4-30 celcius (optimum at 20 celcius). Phylogenetic analysis revealed its lineage in the genus Cryobacterium. The proposed species Cryobacterium zhongshanensis sp. nov. had distinct characteristics based on phenotypic, phylogenetic and genotypic data.

Summary: We isolated a new actinobacterium, named Rhabdothermincola salaria sp. nov., from saline lake sediment in Xinjiang province, PR China. Through taxonomic and phylogenomic analyses, we found that this strain has distinct characteristics compared to other species in the genus Rhabdothermincola. It is a Gram-positive, short rod-shaped bacterium that grows optimally at alkaline pH and high temperature. Based on the genome sequence, the G+C content of this strain is 71.8 mol%.

Summary: A novel bacterium, designated NAS39(T), was isolated from interfacial sediment in Taihu Lake, PR China. It belongs to the genus Flavobacterium and forms a new cluster within this genus. Its closest relatives are Flavobacterium laiguense LB2P30(T) and Flavobacterium tiangeerense 0563(T). Based on its phenotype, chemotaxonomy, genotype, and phylogenetic characteristics, it is proposed as a new species named Flavobacterium taihuense sp. nov.

Summary: A novel bacterial strain, WHS-Z9T, was isolated from a marine sponge collected in Weihai. The strain is motile, short-rod-shaped, and light yellow-pigmented. It has optimal growth conditions at temperatures of 20°C, pH 8.5, and 4% NaCl concentration. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that WHS-Z9T is closely related to Brevibacterium limosum o2T. This study proposes classifying WHS-Z9T as a new species of the genus Brevibacterium, named Brevibacterium spongiae sp. nov.
