Summary: This study proposes a new type of nano material for use in immunochromatographic test strips, which has achieved good detection results. By replacing the sample pad, conjugate pad, and nitrocellulose membrane with hierarchical dendritic gold nanostructure (HD-nanoAu) films, the strip has a more compact structure and better detection reproducibility and stability. Quantum dots are used as a background fluorescence signal, and fluorescence quenching technology is used to detect C-reactive protein (CRP) in human serum.

Summary: The study presented a rapid, accurate, simple, and sensitive fluorescent immunochromatographic strip test (ICST) for detecting Brucella infection in animal serum. The QDFM-based test strips demonstrated excellent repeatability and a detection limit of 1.05 ng/mL. The ICST showed a high coincidence rate with RBPT in clinical samples, indicating its potential for on-site screening of brucellosis.

Summary: Incorporating quantum dots into dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles can improve the performance of lateral flow immunoassays. The size of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots plays a crucial role in determining their loading amount and quantum yields in the label materials, ultimately affecting the LFIA performance. 10.5nm CdSe/ZnS quantum dots exhibit the best performance due to the balanced loading and quantum yield.

Summary: In this study, the addition of cauliflower-derived carbon dots was found to enhance alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, serving as a potential sensor for ALP. The combination of ALP and CFCDs exhibited typical Michaelis Menten kinetic behavior with improved kinetics and increased dephosphorylated product yield. Development of a CFCD-based paper strip assay allowed sensitive detection of elevated ALP levels and visualization of cancer stem cells or proteins.

Summary: The C-reactive protein point-of-care test is widely used in Sweden, but doctors' ordering behaviors do not completely comply with national guidelines. Doctors order the test after or during physical examination, and sometimes even if the examination results are normal. Doctors can subtly provide the rationale for ordering the test, and the test can be used to reconcile the discrepancy between physical examination and patients' symptom presentation.

Summary: This study presents a gram-scale synthesis of red/green/blue solid-state fluorescent carbon quantum rings with high quantum yields, offering a potential alternative to REE-free phosphor-converted white LEDs. These R/G/B-SBF-CQRs-based LEDs emit warm white light with low CCT, high CRI, and high luminous efficiency, comparable to REE-phosphor-based LEDs.

Summary: A sensitive immunochromatographic test strip (ITS) for detecting AFB(1) using dendritic platinum nanoparticles as pressure/colorimetric dual-readout probes was developed. The ITS showed a detection range of 0.05-10 ng mL(-1) with a detection limit of 0.03 ng mL(-1) for AFB(1). It was successfully utilized for detecting AFB(1) in herbal medicine samples, demonstrating its reliability for real sample detection and potential applications in drug and food quality control, pollutants monitoring, and medical diagnosis.
