Summary: The volume of mental illness patients in the emergency department is increasing, but many ED nurses have stigmatized attitudes and behaviors, creating barriers to therapeutic care. Workplace violence against nurses is also on the rise. Resilience helps nurses manage their response to workplace violence and continue providing therapeutic care. This study examines the relationship between stigma, resilience, workplace violence, behavioral care competence, and work performance.

Summary: The study explored the implementation of an after-hours nurse practitioner model of health care delivery in a rural health service, finding that this model is valued by rural health practitioners and could help reduce the burden on rural GPs while improving access to quality health care for community members. As pressure on rural urgent care centers increases due to the COVID-19 pandemic, consideration of the nurse practitioner-led model is recommended as an effective alternative.

Summary: Epidemiological studies have found a positive correlation between the severity of mental illness and the duration and severity of physical illness. Liaison consultations are valuable in identifying and treating psychiatric disorders, but the rate of psychiatric follow-up after consultation is low in outpatients. This study aimed to investigate the factors influencing post-discharge psychosomatic follow-up visits in patients undergoing psychiatric liaison consultation in general hospitals and construct a Nomogram prediction model for patients' post-discharge psychosomatic follow-up visits. The model accurately predicted post-discharge psychosomatic follow-up behavior and showed good validity for clinical application.

Summary: This study used a phenomenological qualitative design to conduct semi-structured interviews with 10 currently practicing mental health nurses, aiming to describe their viewpoints, reveal the obstacles they face in their work, and provide recommendations for improving inpatient psychiatric nursing care. The results suggest that maintaining high-quality nursing standards requires a consistent and accountable organizational structure, fostering the development and improvement of relevant nursing skills through continuing education, improved awareness of mental health disorders and care within the community, and initiatives to combat the stigma of mental disorders among patients, families, and communities.

Summary: The study found that adopting a dual role approach for specialists in rural hospitals is more beneficial than having another physician staff the Intensive Care Unit. Empirical results show that ED consultation requests for rural specialists follow a homogeneous Poisson process. In terms of policy-making, specialists should prioritize ED consultations.
