Summary: This study compares different configurations of solar power generation systems and investigates the use of flat heat pipe as a heat sink in photovoltaic systems, solar thermoelectric generator systems, bifacial-photovoltaic-solar thermoelectric generator systems, and tandem-photovoltaic-solar thermoelectric generator systems. It is found that the bifacial-photovoltaic-solar thermoelectric generator system performs the best in terms of electrical power output, while the solar thermoelectric generator system has the potential for improvement. Additionally, using nanofluid improves energy and exergy performance.

Summary: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is progressing in its efforts to attract tourists and trade, but its economy is still heavily reliant on oil, natural gas, and related industries for now. However, with the increasing demand for natural gas and the UAE's status as a net gas importer, the country has begun investing billions of dollars in nuclear and renewable energy. This study focuses on the solar energy production and consumption trend in the UAE, conducting a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and developing strategies based on it. The SWOT analysis has identified promising strategies for the UAE to transition to solar energy, reducing fossil fuel demand, mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, and becoming the carbon market center of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Summary: Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems have gained significant attention in the past decade. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to identify the latest trends in the integration of solar PV in power networks. The research is based on 7146 documents downloaded from the Web of Science database and utilizes bibliometric indicators, network analysis, and statistical analysis. The results reveal rapid growth in research on solar PV integration, particularly in India. The study identifies five main clusters including power quality issues, energy storage and management algorithms, optimization and techno-economic analysis, renewable energy integration and sustainable development, and battery energy storage system modeling and control. The recent research focuses on power quality, voltage and frequency fluctuation problems, optimal design and energy management, and technical-economic analysis.

Summary: This paper focuses on the modeling and control of non-isolated, non-inverting four-switch buck-boost synchronous converters in DC microgrids. The research demonstrates the efficient operation of the power converter both independently and in DC microgrids. Sliding mode control is utilized as the controlling mechanism to deal with uncertainties and non-linearities. The MATLAB simulation results successfully exhibit precise reference tracking and robust stability of the DC-DC converters in different operating modes of the microgrid structure.
