Summary: This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the impact of recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) on the risk of preterm birth (PTB) in subsequent pregnancies. The results showed that women with a history of RPL had significantly higher odds of delivering preterm infants in subsequent pregnancies, and the risk of PTB increased with the number of pregnancy losses.

Summary: A Bayesian network meta-analysis was conducted to determine the optimal treatment options for recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. The results showed that the Adavosertib + gemcitabine regimen and Bevacizumab + gemcitabine regimen were significantly beneficial for patients with recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. The immunotherapeutic agent, Nivolumab, was found to be safe and comparable to the Adavosertib + gemcitabine regimen.

Summary: This meta-analysis explores the relationship among traditional semen parameters, SDF, and unexplained RM. The results show that couples with unexplained RM have significantly increased levels of SDF and significantly decreased levels of total motility and progressive motility. Therefore, SDF assay may be important in the evaluation of couples with unexplained RM.

Summary: Based on the analysis of multiple studies, anticoagulant therapy was found to have better efficacy in terms of visual acuity improvement and recurrent RVO events compared to antiplatelet therapy, but it also carried a certain risk of bleeding complications.

Summary: This study evaluated the effect of unstudied polymorphisms on recurrent miscarriage. A systematic review identified 143 studies worldwide, and 13 genes were assessed in case-control studies. Quantitative analysis included 92 studies and 22 SNPs. Certain variations showed significant association with recurrent miscarriage risk, but further research is needed for confirmation.

Summary: Lifestyle factors like being underweight and having BMI>25 significantly contribute to increased risk of RPL in the general population, and BMI>30 and BMI>25 also increase the odds of further miscarriages in women with RPL. However, the quality of evidence for these findings is low. Larger studies focusing on alcohol, cigarette smoking, and caffeine intake effects on RPL risk with BMI optimization are now needed.

Summary: After analyzing 54 randomized controlled trials, it was found that a combination of low-dose aspirin and heparin is recommended as the first-line treatment for preventing recurrent miscarriage in women with APS. Additionally, the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine, IVIG, and prednisone when added to current treatment regimens was supported. Further large-scale, high-quality RCTs are needed to confirm these findings and evaluate new pharmacological options.

Summary: This study investigated the safety and efficacy of different antithrombotic strategies after LAAO and found that there was no significant difference in stroke, DRT, and major bleeding events among patients receiving DAPT, DOACs, and VKA. DAPT ranked the worst in terms of these outcomes, while VKAs were ranked as the preferred antithrombotic strategy. However, DOACs should also be considered due to their convenience advantage.

Summary: This study evaluated the comparative efficacy and safety of different antithrombotic strategies in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and arterial thrombosis. The combination of antiplatelet and warfarin therapy was found to effectively reduce the risk of recurrent overall thrombosis. Dual antiplatelet therapy showed promise in lowering the risk of recurrent arterial thrombosis, but further studies are needed. Conversely, the use of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) significantly increased the risk of recurrent arterial thrombosis. There was no significant difference in major bleeding among the different antithrombotic strategies.

Summary: Abnormal blood pressure regulation is a common feature of autonomic dysfunction in Parkinson's disease patients. This study found significant differences in circadian blood pressure rhythm between different disease stages and subtypes of PD patients, with reverse dipping being more common in advanced PD patients. 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is crucial for evaluating blood pressure alterations in PD patients and clinicians should be vigilant about reverse dipping to prevent serious clinical events.

Summary: This study aimed to analyze the impact of endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) alone versus EVT after intravenous alteplase on patient-reported anxiety/depression, as well as to identify predictors of anxiety/depression after ischemic stroke. The results indicated that intravenous alteplase treatment may have a beneficial effect on anxiety/depression, suggesting that it may be better to provide intravenous alteplase before EVT rather than EVT alone.

Summary: We provided a comprehensive overview of metabolic and nutritional toxicities after the initiation of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) through an integrated big database. The results showed a significant association between ICIs usage and metabolic and nutritional disorders (MNDs), especially with monotherapy using anti-PD-1 ICIs. Combination therapy was associated with a higher reporting frequency of these toxicities.

Summary: This study aimed to identify predictors of 90-day mortality in acute ischemic stroke patients treated with mechanical thrombectomy. The results showed that symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage, high post-thrombectomy NIHSS score, high NIHSS score on admission, and high glucose level at hospital arrival were significant independent predictors of mortality. Smoking may also be associated with mortality, but further research is needed to confirm this.
