Two lanthanide/zinc coordination polymers, [Zn2Pr(H2O)(4)(OH)(bipy)(IMDC)(2)]center dot bipy center dot 2H(2)O (1), and [Pr(Phen)(HDTIM)(NO3)(H2O)]center dot H2O (2), based on 2H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3IMDC) and 4,5-di(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-2H-imidazole (H3DTIM) ligands have been synthesized. Both ligands were in situ generated from the same precursor, 2H-imidazole-4,5-dicarbonitrile (HIMDN), by control of the reaction condition. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
