Summary: A series of novel Ce3+-doped manganese phosphite inorganic open-framework materials were synthesized under ionothermal conditions, showing tunable luminescence property. The energy transfer between Ce3+ and Mn2+ influences the luminescence, and the phosphor exhibits yellow-green emission at a Ce3+ doping concentration of 0.06.

Summary: The authors constructed 2D covalent organic frameworks with high chemical robustness and superior photoelectronic activity using the enolimine-ketoenamine tautomerism. They demonstrated the stabilisation and switching of tautomeric states in a crystalline, porous, and dynamic 3D COF through structural transformation and host-guest interactions. The COF showed reversible framework deformation, solvatochromic and hydrochromic effects useful for chemosensing.

Summary: The synthesis of active electrode materials at room temperature is an effective strategy to reduce the cost of sodium ion batteries. In this study, a layered material called NVPC was successfully synthesized at room temperature and evaluated as a cathode for SIBs. The NVPC cathode exhibits high reversible capacity, excellent rate capability, and cycling performance, showing promising prospects for long lifespan low-cost SIBs.

Summary: A novel layered magnesium phosphate (MgP) was synthesized using an ionothermal approach. Adding the MgP to lithium grease resulted in superior lubrication compared to the typical lubricant MoS2. The crystal structure and resource endowment of layered materials were discussed to understand the lubrication mechanism. This finding could aid in the development of new high-efficiency solid lubricants.
