Summary: A base-stabilized C-phosphonio-Si-amino-silyne 3 was synthesized through a coupling reaction between a silyliumylidene ion 1 and a P,S-bis-ylide 2. This new cationic silyne 3 shows high stability at room temperature (t1/2 = 7 days in THF) and unique reactivity due to the phosphonio substituent.

Summary: The paper investigates the preparation, solid-state structures, electrochemical behavior, and luminescent properties of cationic group 4 metallocene complexes with pendant imine and pyridine donor groups. The solid state structures were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis and their electrochemical behavior was studied through cyclic voltammetry. DFT calculations were performed to explain the properties of the complexes.

Summary: Water-soluble DASAs based on indoline as donor and methyl or trifluoromethyl pyrazolone-based acceptors were developed, and the reversible photoswitching mechanism was confirmed through photophysical analysis and photochemical studies. The formation of StS was observed under acidic conditions.

Summary: Experiments revealed the formation of gels with a lamellar structure in solutions containing high urea concentration and low cationic surfactant amount, independent of the chain length of the surfactants. The crystallization of surfactant molecules loaded into urea assemblies forming adducts at a microscopic scale was observed through XRD and SAXS analysis, indicating a hierarchical structure of the gels.

Summary: This study proposed a phosphate-mediated anion exchange strategy to fine-tune the surface charge of a metal-organic framework, MIL-100(Fe), for effective demulsification of cationic surfactant-stabilized emulsions. The phosphate-exchanged MIL-100(Fe) exhibited enhanced demulsification efficiency by capturing the surfactant and causing irreversible deformation of emulsion droplets. The research highlighted a promising approach to deal with cationic surfactant-emulsified oily wastewater and revealed the fundamental demulsification process.

Summary: Studies show that electron-withdrawing (donating) groups in the para position to the palladium center inhibit (accelerate) the transmetalation step in aryl-aryl Negishi cross-coupling reactions. Quantum-chemical calculations suggest that an associative transmetalation mechanism is preferred. Molecular and electronic structural features can be rationalized using Foster-Boys localized orbitals and Mayer bond orders.

Summary: A series of brominated polynorbornene derivatives with bulky steric hydrophobic groups and highly stable backbones were synthesized and post-functionalized to construct anion exchange membranes (AEMs). These AEMs exhibited super high hydroxide conductivities and low swelling ratios, and demonstrated good alkaline stability.

Summary: The reaction between [(p-cymene)RuCl2]2 and the triphosphine ligand bis(2-di-tert-butylphosphinophenyl)phosphine (tBuPHPP) leads to an exchange reaction where a chloride ligand and a phosphorus-bound H atom are exchanged to form the (chlorophosphine)ruthenium hydride complex (tBuPClPP)RuHCl. The thermodynamics of Cl-P/Ru-H exchange depends on the nature of the ancillary ligand. This study has implications for five-coordinate d6 complexes.

Summary: A revised synthesis of Martin's phosphino-triols was reported, demonstrating their selective disassembly through an unexpected P-C bond cleavage reaction. This degradation pathway was effectively suppressed by complexation of Al3+ and Sc3+. The resulting half-cage complexes exhibited a unique kappa(4)-P,O,O',O ''-coordination mode not seen in other phosphino-triols.

Summary: Cationic imidazoliumyl(phosphonio)-phosphanides were obtained via the nucleophilic fragmentation of tetracationic tetraphosphetane with tertiary phosphanes. They can act as [LC-P]+ transfer reagents in phospha-Wittig-type reactions, yielding cationic phosphaalkenes and phosphanides. The versatility of [LC-P]+ as a valuable P1 building block was demonstrated in substitution reactions, providing a convenient access to difficult-to-synthesize compounds.
