Summary: The study achieved the finishing treatment of polyester fabric using the electron beam pre-irradiation method with the commercially available fluorine-based water and oil repellent, leading to a more hydrophobic and oleophobic surface. By adding a long-chain alkyl group acrylate monomer, the contact angle between fabric and water/dodecane increased, improving durability.

Summary: This study focused on NIR-sensitized cationic photopolymerization using a unique initiator system and high-power NIR-LED, demonstrating good reactivities of distinct oxetanes. Hybrid photopolymerization was utilized to form interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) and improve initiator solubility, while oxetane exhibited fast cationic polymerization rates in both UV and NIR-sensitized conditions.

Summary: The living supramolecular polymerization technique offers a new avenue for research. By utilizing the confinement provided by layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanomaterial, various simple monomers can successfully form living supramolecular polymer (LSP) with length control and narrow dispersity. This strategy has the potential to explore multifunctional molecules and promote the development of functional LSP.

Summary: The study successfully synthesized a crosslinked fluorinated acrylate modified waterborne polyurethane with an external hydrophobic surface and internal dual crosslinking system. The coating exhibited good hardness, flexibility, and adhesion properties, effectively preventing water molecule penetration. In the electrochemical impedance test, the modified waterborne polyurethane coating showed efficient corrosion protection for metal substrates.

Summary: This study focused on the preparation and thermo-mechanical characteristics of polymeric blends based on di(meth)acrylates monomers, using Bisphenol A glycerolate diacrylate (BPA.GDA) or ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as crosslinking monomers. The copolymers were confirmed by ATR/FT-IR spectroscopy, and their thermal and mechanical properties were analyzed using DSC, TG/DTG, and DMA. The influence of different amounts of a modifying soluble additive (PC) on the physicochemical properties was discussed in detail, along with evaluations of surface properties using AFM.

Summary: In this study, a quaternary phosphonium salt monomer Br-MHP was synthesized and used to prepare poly-acrylate emulsions with different Br-MHP contents through seed emulsion polymerization. The chemical structure and composition of the emulsion were characterized, and the effects of Br-MHP content on emulsion stability and latex particle microstructure were investigated. The film properties were also studied, including hardness, adhesive, water absorption ratio, thermal stability, and antibacterial property. The results showed that Br-MHP monomer and poly-acrylate emulsions with different Br-MHP contents were successfully prepared. The emulsions exhibited excellent stability and the films showed desirable properties. Furthermore, the Br-MHP-containing films exhibited high antibacterial efficiency against S. aureus and E. coli.

Summary: Three acrylate monomers with different side groups were synthesized using the Passerini three-component reaction, yielding up to 94%. A method for miniemulsion polymerization of these monomers into polymeric particles with adjustable sizes was established, with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate introduced for crosslinking to produce microgels. Factors affecting particle size, such as concentration of surfactant and crosslinker, as well as sonication parameters, were investigated, with the collapsed microgels ranging from 21 to 91 nm. The swelling behavior of the microgels in organic solvents was also studied.

Summary: Nanoscale SiO2-fluorinated acrylate polymer nanoemulsions (SCFs) with good properties were prepared through core-shell emulsion polymerization for water injection development in low-permeability reservoirs. The results showed that SCFs formed a low-surface-energy nanoscale hydrophobic film on the rock surface, resulting in a water contact angle of up to 120 degrees at the core. The core flooding experiment demonstrated that SCFs have the potential to eliminate water lock, reduce injection pressure, and increase injection volume.
