Summary: This research extends the channel models for extremely large-scale multiple-input multiple-output (XL-MIMO) systems by considering the deployment and propagation characteristics. The extensions include three-dimensional modeling, vertical height distribution, and spatially consistent propagation characteristics. The reasonableness and applicability of the proposed modeling method are demonstrated through parameter tuning and simulation, enabling the evaluation of system performance for large-scale MIMO with different deployment morphologies.

Summary: In this study, we propose the Bernoulli two-state Gaussian mixture (B-TSGM) probability model to characterize the angle-delay domain (ADD) channel of the massive MIMO-OFDM system. We design an HMP-B-TSGM channel estimation algorithm based on the hybrid message passing (HMP) rule under the structured turbo-compressed sensing (STCS) framework. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed model effectively captures the channel characteristics and the algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art methods with similar complexity.

Summary: This paper investigates the channel estimation problem for massive multi-input multi-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MINIO-OFDM) systems. It proposes a statistical channel model based on space-frequency beam and solves the channel estimation problem by calculating the solutions of projections. Simulation results demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method in estimating the channel.

Summary: This paper studies the propagation loss characteristics of D-band in outdoor long-distance transmissions and proposes a measurement model. The experimental results show that D-band has greater propagation loss in long-distance outdoor scenarios, making it suitable for high-frequency mm-wave propagation measurements.

Summary: The study developed a stochastic snow model using the Fokker-Planck Equation to represent subgrid variability of snow, which was coupled into the RUC LSM to improve snow cover estimation. Results showed that the RUC-SS LSM outperformed the RUC LSM in estimating snow cover fraction, especially during the snow-melting season, highlighting the importance of considering subgrid variability of snow in LSMs for simulating surface-atmosphere interactions.

Summary: In this paper, the impact of angle correlation on inter-user channel correlation in massive MIMO systems is studied. Through a combination of measurement and analysis, three key results are obtained: there is a high channel correlation between close-by users; the channel correlation between far-away users can be at least twice higher than in i.i.d. Rayleigh fading channel when there is angle correlation; inter-user angle correlation increases the inter-user channel correlation, while the number and spacing of base-station antennas reduce the channel correlation.

Summary: A novel beam domain channel model (BDCM) is proposed for B5G massive MIMO wireless communication systems, considering the realistic spherical wavefront caused by near-field effect. This model is transformed from a geometry-based stochastic model (GBSM) through specific algorithms. The correlations, computational complexity, and channel capacity of both models are compared, showing that the novel BDCM has lower complexity and similar accuracy when the number of beams is sufficiently large.

Summary: In frequency selective channel environments, channel estimation in hybrid precoding millimeter-wave massive MIMO systems is challenging. This paper proposes an effective channel estimation scheme based on a training channel model in an urban traffic environment. By treating the channel estimation problem as sparse channel recovery and using a multipath simultaneous matching tracking estimation method, our proposed method achieves better performance in frequency selective mmWave MIMO channels.
