Summary: This article proposes a single-phase transformerless online UPS based on new technology, which operates efficiently with ac and dc input sources through switched capacitor operation. It improves power factor, balances dc bus capacitor voltages, and eliminates common mode current, reducing electromagnetic interference issues. Experimental results from a 2.5-kW prototype verify the feasibility with an efficiency of up to 94.9% and unity power factor.

Summary: A strategy for implementing output impedance in multi-loop inverters with a double virtual impedance loop has been proposed, which can independently establish DC output impedance while reducing computational cost. The strategy allows for appropriate distribution of load current among parallel inverters while meeting standard requirements.

Summary: This article presents a three-phase four-wire hybrid frequency parallel uninterruptable power supply (HbFPUPS) that uses ripple compensation to reduce output voltage distortion and improve dynamic response. The HbFPUPS consists of a low-frequency high-power uninterruptible power supply (LFUPS) and a high-frequency low-power uninterruptable power supply (HFUPS) connected in parallel. By controlling and designing parameters, the system effectively reduces voltage distortion and ripple, and improves stability and dynamic response.

Summary: This article proposes a voltage control strategy to improve the disturbance rejection performance during the parallel operation of a multimodular uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The reason for the occurrence of a circulating current is analyzed, and a partial feedforward control technique is proposed to compensate for a portion of the load current. An additional feedforward control technique is also proposed to enhance the disturbance rejection performance. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified through experimental results.

Summary: This article proposes an active islanding detection method based on q-axis current controller, and introduces an analysis method to distinguish between islanded and nonislanded situations for different DGs. The proposed method can detect island formation within 160 ms in a decentralized manner, with zero nondetection zone for load quality factor <= 2.5, accurately distinguishing nonislanding and islanding conditions.

Summary: This paper proposes a mission-driven two-step virtual machine (VM) allocation method to address the issue of data center energy consumption. The method reduces power losses in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and servers by considering the characteristics of UPS power losses. Simulation results show that the method can effectively decrease total power consumption and reduce search complexity.

Summary: In this article, a simple and model-free procedure based on the generalized forced oscillation method is proposed to design the control system of a UPS output stage. The closed-loop results obtained in a single-phase 3.5 kVA UPS are compared with the IEC 62040-3 performance criteria and shown to be equivalent to model-based approaches.

Summary: This article proposes a current-sensorless control scheme for single-phase UPS inverters under nonlinear load. The information of load current is obtained through adaptive laws, ensuring system security and reliability. By modeling the unknown disturbance of load current using Fourier series, observer-based feedback control and update laws are derived to adjust the coefficients. The stability of the system is extensively analyzed using the Lyapunov approach. Comparative experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the control approaches using simulation and experimental results.
