Summary: The study found a high proportion of early resumption of post-partum sexual intercourse. It is suggested to focus on specific factors such as age, gender, and delivery mode to reduce early resumption. On the other hand, improving women's education and family planning can increase early resumption of post-partum sexual intercourse.

Summary: Appropriate nutrition during pregnancy and post-partum period is crucial for the health of both mothers and their babies. Under- and over-nourishment can greatly impact the gut microbiomes of both the mother and the infant, which in turn can affect the risk of obesity and metabolic diseases. This review examines how different factors such as pre-pregnancy BMI, gestational weight gain, gestational diabetes, and maternal diet can alter the microbial composition of the gut, vaginal, placental, and milk microbiomes. Understanding these implications is important for the long-term health of offspring. Future studies are needed to further explore the relationship between nutrition and the microbiome, and to investigate potential interventions to improve the health outcomes of mother and child.

Summary: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a major cause of maternal mortality. Rates of VTE during pregnancy and the postpartum period have not decreased and pose a significant health challenge. Pregnant and postpartum women are at higher risk due to various factors.

Summary: Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of maternal mortality in the United States, with acute coronary syndrome being more common in pregnant women. This review focuses on the etiologies of chest discomfort during pregnancy and the risk factors and causes of ACS during pregnancy. It provides insights into the evaluation and management of ACS during pregnancy and the post-partum period, including the choice between invasive and non-invasive ischemic evaluations and the use of mechanical circulatory support. It also offers recommendations for delivery in women who have experienced pregnancy-associated myocardial infarction and considerations for post-partum patients with ACS.

Summary: The study revealed that the average age of patients with pregnancy-related CVST was around 28.67 years old, with common clinical manifestations including headache, seizures, and limb weakness. Some patients showed elevated levels of abnormal cerebrospinal fluid pressure and white cell count. There was a high proportion of association between intracranial arteritis and CVST lesions, indicating a potential positive link during pregnancy and puerperium.

Summary: Obesity in pregnant women in Australia is common, with bariatric surgery recommended to improve fertility and pregnancy outcomes. Pregnancy should be delayed after surgery, contraception methods may need to change, and close monitoring for nutritional deficiencies is important throughout pregnancy.

Summary: Headaches during pregnancy and the post-partum period can be caused by pre-existing neurological conditions, pregnancy-related processes, or unrelated conditions. This review aims to discuss the causes of headaches in pregnant and post-partum patients, as well as the neuroimaging techniques used. It is important to consider serious causes such as cerebral venous thrombosis, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, and stroke in pregnant patients with headaches. Primary headaches are common in post-partum patients, but other causes such as pre-eclampsia, cerebral venous thrombosis, and post-dural headache should also be considered. Determining the appropriate imaging technique for this vulnerable population remains challenging.

Summary: Preeclampsia is a common complication that increases the risk of maternal and fetal mortality, requiring early detection and effective intervention. For pregnant women with risk factors, low-dose aspirin is recommended in early pregnancy, and the risk of venous thromboembolism should be assessed based on individual circumstances to ensure timely treatment.

Summary: The evidence regarding the benefits and harms of thromboprophylaxis in women at high risk of VTE during pregnancy and the early postnatal period is very uncertain, indicating a need for further high-quality large-scale randomized trials to determine the effects of current treatments in women with different VTE risk factors.

Summary: The study investigated the prevalence and prognosis of congenital anomalies in IVF/ICSI pregnancies, finding that pregnancies with higher fertilization failure rates were more likely to have poor prognoses for fetuses or neonates with congenital anomalies.

Summary: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a significant health issue for pregnant women worldwide. Pregnancy increases the risk of blood clot formation, with known risk factors for VTE during pregnancy. Practice varies between countries and institutions, and personalized risk assessment and treatment using risk score systems are recommended.

Summary: The study aimed to explore the risk factors affecting the incidence of heterotopic pregnancy (HP) after in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) and the pregnancy outcomes after surgical treatment of HP. The results showed that a history of previous ectopic pregnancies, multiple abortions, tubal infertility, and multiple-embryo transfer were significant risk factors for HP following IVF-ET. In patients with HP treated by surgery, shorter operative duration, smaller size of the ectopic mass, and location in the ampulla of the fallopian tube were associated with better reproductive prognosis.
