Two new lycopodine alkaloids, (12 beta)-12-hydroxyhuperzine G (1) and (5 beta,6 beta,15 alpha)-15-methyllycopodane-5,6-diol (2), were isolated from the whole plants of Huperzia serrata, together with six known compounds, huperzines A, B, and G, phlegmariurine B, (8 beta)-8-hydroxyphlegmariurine B, and lycoposerramine D. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, including HR-ESI-MS, (1)H- and (13)C-NMR. DEPT, (1)H,(1)H-COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and NOESY data.
