AI's expected potential to reach human intelligence suggests that consciousness must be physical. Intelligent response to stimulus requires superior intuition of the physical environment, laws, and constituents. Recognizing consciousness’ particle-like, unified organization inspired the fermionic mind hypothesis. As fermions are the smallest unit of matter, consciousness is the smallest unit of intellect. The fermionic mind hypothesis has philosophical implications for understanding ourselves as an organic part of the physical universe and is supported by its infinite resources.
