Poster summary
- Prayagraj is the administrative headquarters of UP with a population of 15.36 lakhs, Census 2011. The city is considered a pilgrim centre for Hindu tourism due to Triveni Sangam due to Maha Kumbh Mela, Magh Mela has approximately 5% floating population of the total population; other than this visitor attraction being drawn to many historic and religious sites. So, The Sustainable Mobility Plan envisions a high-quality, cost-effective, user-friendly and sustainable public transport system integrated to mitigate all the inadequacies in public transport to promote healthy quality of life. The plan sets out several goals: Intra-city E-bus service with new routes for enhanced catering of all the land use parcels along with charging stations and higher amenities in bus stops Decongestion of the core city with proposed routes for proper traffic movement New dedicated routes proposal for intermediate paratransit and restriction of the paratransit zones in different areas in the city
