Before submitting, take a look at the recently published articles, especially the author's affiliation. If your article's author is not included, consider it carefully and don't waste time.

May I ask if there is a submission fee for this journal?

If the impact factor is lower than JPSE, it is a mandatory adjustment to be in the first tier. It's really not worth considering anything else. Most of the connections are influential and there are many mediocre articles. If you submit to JPSE, you will be permanently blacklisted.

I submitted an article in 2020, but it was rejected in the second review a month later. After carefully reviewing it, I realized that the quality of the article was indeed lacking. I made some revisions and submitted it to JPSE (two reviewers, one disagreed), EF (two reviewers, one disagreed). Currently, I have submitted it to Colloids Surface A (under external review). On November 24, 2021, I submitted another article, this time with more effort and improvements. It was sent for external review on the same day, but the results are still unknown. After reading everyone's comments, I feel extremely nervous and anxiously await good news. In my advisor's words, "Good luck" crying, crying, crying.

Four or five reviewers made several rounds of revisions without any objections, but the editor-in-chief still rejected the manuscript without providing any feedback. It can hardly be considered an international journal, as it is unfair. They don't want your article, even if the review comments are good; they will continue to send it for review until they find a quirky reviewer who can justify rejecting it. They also don't send the reviews at the same time, but one by one, haha. They are just playing with you. So, you need to have a good mindset. Unfortunately, that's how it is.

This journal is a crappy publication run by state-owned enterprises. It is infested with parasites. If an external organization submits an article, it doesn't matter. You guys at the Institute of Rock Mechanics will just play tricks on them until they give up!!!

I personally think it is a great piece of work. I submitted it almost a year ago, but there were no substantial review comments. However, I was told it was rejected with just one sentence: "This journal does not accept it." They didn't provide any reasons. Disgusting. And it claims to be SCI, what a disgrace to its reputation. No wonder it didn't even make it into the Excellent Journal Action Plan. It serves them right. I will never submit to it again. I have already submitted it to Petroleum Science, which is currently under minor revisions. I really don't recommend submitting to this journal.
