In the field of non-destructive testing, it is difficult to find journals. I submitted to a special issue below, and the speed was very, very fast. The next day after submission, I had to make a declaration of interests and provide author information. Altogether, it took 20 days. The first response came back from one reviewer who accepted it, while the other two suggested making corrections for spelling mistakes. My supervisor said it was a loss to submit it, but there was no other choice. I am graduating in June, so I still appreciate the opportunity.

Three reviewers provided feedback on my paper. The first reviewer made more than 20 comments, all of which were very helpful. One reviewer in particular was very thorough, printing out my paper and providing annotations on the physical document, pointing out both professional and language-related issues. This greatly improved the quality of my article. This reviewer, just like my materials, asked very professional questions and was a foreigner. I am very grateful! Although Metals entered the warning zone, I personally feel that the reviewing aspect was still very professional. Recently, they even sent me a request for a commissioned article and offered a discount~

I heard that this journal is relatively fast, so I submitted to it. The layout fee is over 10,000 RMB. If it weren't for the urgency, who would submit to such a warning journal? In the end, after two months of urging, the editor didn't respond at all. It's better for everyone to submit to a better journal and not take shortcuts.
