After selecting a journal, please try to submit contributions that closely align with the theme of the journal. Submissions that align with the theme are generally processed faster. Choosing the right handing editor is important. There is a Japanese editor in the journal who is extremely slow. It has been two months since I submitted my paper and I still haven't received any review comments. I wrote to the editorial office and they said that the review comments should have been returned within about a month, but they are still waiting for the handing editor to make a decision. After making the revisions, the other two reviewers agreed to publish the paper, and it has been three weeks since then, but this editor still hasn't given any updates.
