The second review was also quite fast. Two months later, on February 1st, the second review comments were received. However, I didn't receive the notification email from the editorial department, which led to me not seeing it until the middle of March when the editorial department sent an email reminding me that the deadline for the second review modifications was approaching. I checked the system and found that one and a half months had already passed.

The second review comments were good. One reviewer indicated that they had no further comments. The other reviewer didn't have any major issues either, but they requested additional explanations for a symbol in the theorem. This was indeed my mistake, so I added the necessary explanations and spent another two days carefully checking the entire document to ensure all possible areas requiring additional explanations were addressed. Then, I sent it back to the editorial department and received an acceptance email four days later.

I checked the submission record and found that it was submitted in late April 2022. After the editorial department received it, it took less than a month for them to perform some necessary reviews and plagiarism checks. They were relatively quick in sending it for external review. In August, we received the first review comments. Each of the two reviewers raised eleven or twelve questions, totaling more than twenty. The reviewers were very meticulous in their review, but compared to European journals, their comments were not sharp, and the questions were not tricky (when I submitted an article to a European journal, after proving the convergence of the iterative approximation sequence, I would still be asked to prove the consistency between the optimal solution of the approximation sequence and the original problem, which was simply soul-searching).

The comments from the first reviewer mainly focused on the structure of the article, requesting adjustments to make it more reader-friendly. They also asked for a clear introduction to the application background, research status, and gap, as well as a clear explanation of the motivation. Additionally, they requested specific explanations for some uncommon concepts and symbols that were not clarified. After seeing the review comments, I felt relieved and thought that there should be no major issues. The editor gave us three months to make revisions because they had other manuscripts to handle during that period (at that time, I was dealing with the soul-searching questions from the European reviewer). So, I kept postponing until it was almost the deadline (November) before replying. The Associate Editor (AE) was very responsible and immediately requested additional content for some minor issues mentioned in our reply, the day after they received it. They sent it for a second review by the reviewers the day after we replied.

Yesterday I received a notification of acceptance as a research article. This journal is really good. First, my junior submitted an article and it was accepted smoothly within half a year. At that time, I was frustrated by the slow review process of the manuscript I submitted to a European journal. She suggested that I try this one. Coincidentally, I had just finished preparing an article and decided to choose this journal.

The whole process took 12 months, but the first review and revision took three months because of my procrastination. The response to the second review was delayed for another one and a half months due to a problem with the system email. If we subtract these three months, the entire process should have taken about 9 months, similar to my junior's article. It's really fast for a paper that focuses on controlling theory and derivation.

I highly recommend this journal. The editors and associate editors are very responsible and won't leave you hanging for a long time. During the process, the email correspondence with the associate editor was almost instant, which is extremely rare among editors of control journals nowadays.
