After the major revisions, it took half a month to receive the reviewers' comments. Reviewers 2 and 3 agreed to accept the revised version, but reviewer 1, who originally rejected the manuscript, raised a few additional questions regarding the other two reviewers' comments, after being satisfied with my responses to their questions. However, since the journal only accepts one round of revisions, the manuscript was rejected. The associate editor suggested making minor revisions based on reviewer 1's suggestions and resubmitting (without sending the revised version to the reviewers). The resubmitted version was accepted within a week. Personally, I feel that the journal values experimental results and innovative ideas. The journal has shown stable performance in recent years, but it is unclear why the upgrade in the journal's classification led to a lower ranking.
