I'm really fed up with this journal. It took three months for the first review and major revisions, and then another month to submit. The second review took one month, and then there was another round of revisions before submitting again. Now there's no progress. The main issue is that each time after submitting, it takes more than a month for the editor to be assigned, which is too inefficient. If they want to reject it, they should do it quickly. It's been almost 9 months already, which journal is this slow?

The first review took 2.5 months, with minor revisions from two reviewers and a major revision. Due to writing grant applications and the Chinese New Year, the total time for revisions was 2 and a half months. Afterwards, the paper was sent back for revisions and was accepted within 2 days. Thanks to the editorial board of WR. Currently, we only need one more JHM article to complete the first-tier journal requirements.

Fortunately, we obtained data on the content and isotopes of a sample type that had not been reported before. We combined this data with a mathematical model. Both reviewers and the editor found it to be satisfactory and provided some minor revisions.

Received review comments in December 2020 from two reviewers, both provided professional feedback, including suggestions on the graphical abstract, highlights, and every step of the work.
Returned for the first round of revisions in January 2021, took a month in total. It was a tight timeline as it required major revisions, and the final response submission was over forty pages without enough time for language polishing.
Received second round of review comments a week later in January 2021. One reviewer agreed, while the other had some questions and suggestions.
Returned on February 4, 2021, with approximately 16 pages of carefully revised responses. Language polishing was done by a professional company this time.
Accepted on February 6, 2021.
Overall, the journal WR (name not provided) was very professional. This was my first paper, and both the reviewers and editors were diligent and responsible. The timeline was short, but the journal still requires innovation. The revision process must be taken seriously.
