Be cautious about submitting it. Two reviewers gave their opinions and suggestions, one accepted it with one suggestion, while the other wrote seven suggestions which were quite negative but did not provide a conclusion. In the end, the editor rejected it directly for unknown reasons, which caused a breakdown in my mindset.

It has been over half a month since I submitted my article, and it is still "Awaiting Admin Processing". Does this Yuan, Sai-qian, have such a busy schedule? Submission in October, rejection in January of the following year.
The submission process remained almost unchanged, and it was unclear whether it was reviewed or not. It was directly rejected upon return. There was only one reviewer, and it seemed like the rejection comments were written by a student or editor. The main feedback was that the English was not good enough and the experimental details were not explained clearly.
Chinese researchers are cautious in submitting papers, and the process is slow. There are high expectations for English proficiency.

The first review gave a major revision. I felt a bit helpless because of an expert's opinion. I refuted him a couple of times and he rejected the manuscript. The editor first rejected it and then called Professor Yuan to discuss it over the phone. After that, a major revision was given again. After the revision, it was resubmitted for review and was accepted without any further comments. In short, I am very grateful to Professor Yuan.

The speed of manuscript review is fast. When submitting, there were significant formatting issues, but it was still sent for review. It took 3 days for the initial review, 1 month for the first revision, and another month for the second revision.
After the revisions, the journal has high requirements for paper formatting, image quality, size, and titles.
The editors are particularly patient because there were many details overlooked when writing the paper, and the image quality was poor. They guided and made multiple revisions.
It is a fantastic domestic journal.

After more than three months of submission, it was rejected. It took one week for review and one month for the review to be returned with comments. The editor-in-chief delayed for one and a half months, and the managing editor delayed for half a month. One reviewer accepted the paper after major revisions, while another claimed lack of innovation and rejected it. The suggestions made for the paper did not improve it even a bit. Domestic journals are too formidable for me. I am not worthy. From now on, I will not submit to this prestigious journal and avoid such strict reviewers. The review speed is also the slowest I have ever seen.

The speed is okay. It took about three months for both of the wet metallurgy articles that I submitted to be accepted, which is faster than my submission to Hydrometallurgy. It usually takes 5-6 months for my submission to Hydro to be accepted.

No layout fee is charged, but the speed is really slow. It is best to polish it when returning the manuscript for the first time, and it will be quickly published with a proof of polishing.
