In the first trial, it took one and a half months for major revisions. Three months later, after the major revisions were returned, there was a minor revision within a month (a protein was incorrectly depicted in the last figure). After the minor revision, it was still incorrect, and it took two more times to finally be accepted. It took a month for back and forth minor revisions. In conclusion, the review experts were very professional. Going through one round of major revisions was a significant improvement and greatly enhanced one's scientific thinking.
