Suddenly received an email from the assistant editor stating that the academic editor believed that the manuscript did not fit within the scope of the journal and suggested submitting elsewhere, but provided an opportunity for modification. Initially thought it was a rejection letter. However, three days later, received another email from the assistant editor guiding which areas should be modified to make the manuscript more aligned with the journal's scope. Realizing there was still a chance, immediately made the required changes. After the fourth round of revisions, the manuscript was accepted within a week.

Summary: 1. Language is an issue, it is best to choose the editing service recommended by the journal. 2. Only if the system shows rejection, it is truly rejected. 3. MDPI has an office in China, urgent and important matters can be directly addressed through phone calls. 4. The submission process at Sensors is strict, and all comments from external reviewers must be addressed. If the assistant editor misses any, they will send a separate email to confirm your response, indicating it is not a formality. 5. The current OA fee for Sensors is 2600 Swiss Francs.
