Approximately two weeks later, it was sent for review, and it took one month for external review feedback to come back with minor revisions. It was returned one week later, and accepted one week after that. It felt quite fast. My research paper has a large word count and data volume, so there are fewer options for suitable journals to submit to. This journal seems to be quite inclusive and accommodating, and the speed is not slow either. This may depend on the editor. I hope everyone can encounter efficient editors.
