During my PhD, I have been dragging on a paper for a long time. The senior boss among my co-authors thinks that the novelty of the article is average, but my joint supervisor thinks that the workload is relatively large and overall it is not bad. The second revision of the RSE was finally accepted after 11 months. It was truly an unforgettable experience. Despite the twists and turns, it greatly improved the quality of the paper. Although one of the reviewers insisted on rejecting it in the first and second revisions, claiming it lacked novelty, their points actually benefited the enhancement of the paper. Fortunately, the paper was finally recognized for its innovation in the third revision and recommended for publication in the fourth revision. From early January to mid-November, I learned a lot from this process. When I received the acceptance notification, my heart was already calm and unaffected... Looking forward to my third RSE paper!
