I don't think it has a direct relationship with the Chinese Dream of a Strong Nation. When the impact factor increases, it is a time when the impact factor of journals across the entire network is generally improving. In addition, there is a national support plan for scientific and technological journals. With the help of this plan, journals have been able to improve their impact factors through the joint efforts of the editorial department and all authors.

This trend of impact factor is clearly related to the dream of a strong nation, and the water is truly satisfying.

Kiss, I would like to ask if there is any layout fee, and if so, how much is it?

盗梦 2022-02-04

One of the few conscientious journals in China. Recommended by a public account, I submitted an article with a trial mindset and received major revisions after a month. I was shocked at that time, as the editor provided over 70 comments on research content, logical writing, experimental design, image coordination, graphic issues, even paragraphs, and grammar. They also provided very detailed solutions, many of which were directly related to the key points, surprising in their professionalism. I spent another month revising based on the feedback, and felt that the quality of the article had greatly improved. The editorial team is composed of capable individuals, with fair and responsible editors. When encountering controversial issues, they provide opportunities for appeals and counter-arguments, and the processing is quite fast. I sent an email and received a reply in less than an hour. Zhejiang University has a distinctive approach in running this journal, unlike other magazines that require connections to submit papers. Currently, the journal's level is also suitable for domestic master's and PhD submissions. I just don't understand why it has been downgraded to the third tier. As of early February, the real-time impact factor has exceeded 5. As a promising national journal, shouldn't it be supported based on the principle of fairness during the classification by the Chinese Academy of Sciences? After all, this is one of the few comprehensive national journals. I wonder if certain magazines that rely on connections can be in the first tier, why can't this one even be in the second tier? Is it because they look down on Zhejiang University or what?

2021.11.23 Initial submission, 12.6 Major revision, 12.16 Resubmission, 12.21 Acceptance. However, the typesetting took more than a month. The editor is very responsible, although it has been sent for AJE proofreading, the magazine will still make further modifications. Generally speaking, the magazine is very responsible. But it becomes more troublesome after acceptance, especially when importing references.

I just want to ask, this journal has been advertising for a year, claiming to be in the off-season every day. Now the 2021 rankings have been released, and it dropped from Zone 2 to Zone 3, yet it still claims to be in Zone 2 of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The research it produces is originally a hot topic, but it has been delayed for half a year, and the feedback given is so amateurish. Can it be considered as supportive to you? (This journal once ranked in Zone 2 based on its impact factor of 3.)

初心未改 2021-12-22

Let me tell you how this journal is like: I saw this journal doing advertisements, submitted an article, and it was reviewed and sent for review quickly by the editor. Then it entered a long review process, lasting 6 months, with no news at all. Seeing the sincerity in the writing (the next few months were the off-season for submissions, so the review was fast), I waited. However, after half a year passed, I was directly rejected, and the feedback seemed to be written by someone in the same field, with basically no valuable suggestions for revisions.

The speed from the editor's review to under review is relatively fast; however, it becomes particularly sluggish during the review stage. The reason for rejection feels somewhat evasive, as it is clearly a universally recognized information, but the reviewer questions the source of this information.
