July 4th - Submit
July 22 - Under review, the review process is too slow, almost withdrew and resubmitted
July 27 - Accepted, no need for revisions.

Hello, may I ask how long it will take to receive the review comments?

reject一生之敌 2023-06-23

Submitted a simulation article on graphene metamaterials, overall the review process was fast, and the submission difficulty was relatively low!

lpy1998 2023-06-07

How to check the proofreading manuscript after accepting it? I only received an email saying it is ready for checking, but the submission website does not have a place to submit the proofreading manuscript.

The review process is too long, so it is advisable to carefully consider whether to rely on the article for graduation.

辛苦的科研狗 2023-03-24

What's the situation? I've also been awaiting a decision twice. Is the editor looking for arbitration?

kingshun 2023-02-23

The manuscript submitted on the last day of 2022 can be considered as putting a perfect end to the year. However, it has been almost three months since then, and there is still only one reviewer who has agreed to review it. I am waiting anxiously as this is for my graduation. I hope for a good outcome, haha!

Excuse me, OP, does this journal have a template? Although it can be formatted freely, I still want to use the template provided by them. How come I can't find it in the guidelines?

yangJZ 2023-01-19

How many reviewers do you have in total? Why are there two "awaiting decision" statuses? Are there significant differences in the reviewers' opinions?

WX公众号“非线性动力学” 2022-12-14

Submitted in mid-September, the review process was completed in mid-November. Three reviewers provided positive feedback, suggesting major revisions. The revised manuscript was resubmitted one week later and officially accepted in mid-December. The expected publication date is the end of December.

It's okay, submitted for over three months, including a minor revision, in the direction of acoustic metamaterial design.

It doesn't mean that it hasn't been submitted for review.

XJTUjoyk 2022-10-11

It has always been in the state of editorial review. The manuscripts submitted later have been clearly rejected directly or have already been sent for review by the authors. What does this mean?

jingda 2022-07-21

During my master's degree, I received the 5th invitation for manuscript review. Let me mention some commonly existing issues. 1. Many articles are advised to be proofread using grammar software before submission, as there are numerous grammar errors. 2. The physical analysis in the articles generally lacks completeness and should be supplemented more. 3. The intention of the articles is not sufficiently prominent, and the novelty needs to be clearly indicated.

If you are not anonymous, you are single; otherwise, you are double.

芒果果0705 2022-07-04

May I ask if the journal is using Double-anonymous peer review or Single anonymous peer review?

I submitted an analysis on the first ionization energy, but it was directly rejected by the editor within two days, stating that the content was not suitable. They suggested transferring it to the Journal of Physics Communications, but when I checked, they require a fee of $1600...

Posted on February 2nd, the first round of revision ended on March 25th, and the revised version was submitted on April 10th. It was directly accepted on April 19th. The editorial department is very efficient, and the reviewers are also very professional. There were a total of 21 questions from three reviewers. It feels really comfortable to not have to go through a second round of revisions and have it accepted directly, making it less troublesome.

Received the second review invitation from JPD as a student. Reviewed a paper on polarization conversion from linear to circular polarization. The paper was too short and lacked substance. When submitting articles, everyone should pay attention. This is a physics journal after all. It would be better to have more physics analysis, a sufficient length, and at least some respect for the content.

Irritated, got arbitrated, and don't even know how many reviewers there were in total, probably two reviewers, with very different opinions. I give up, this piece of work was full of sincerity, but also encountered nitpicking.

jingda 2022-03-06

Recently, as a student, I received a review invitation from JPD. The review deadline given was 15 days, with only four possible outcomes: major revision, minor revision, acceptance, or rejection. The review will assess the comprehensiveness of the paper's background and its impact in the field. I reviewed a paper on acoustic absorption and gave it a major revision. Generally, if the paper is carefully revised and the responses meet the expectations of the reviewer at 75% or above, it can be directly accepted with minor revisions or accepted outright.

jingda 2022-02-14

It has been over half a month since submission. It has been showing that the first reviewer has started reviewing. Are there any peers who have been accepted willing to share what the situation is?

guosk 2022-01-13

9/6 submit
9/11 Awaiting referee reports
9/22 Awaiting Decision
9/23 Major Revision
10/20 Revision submitted
10/21 Awaiting referee reports
10/24 Awaiting Decision
10/25 Minor Revision
10/28 Revision submitted
10/29 Awaiting Decision
11/1 Provisionally Accepted
11/2 Formally accepted

When submitting, you can only choose from six major directions, and even during the review process, reviewers may question the suitability of the direction and require a detailed explanation. The first review was done quickly, with major revisions requested. There were three reviewers, two giving positive feedback, and one saying the direction was not quite appropriate and there were content issues, so additional experiments and analysis explanations were added. The second review had no major issues and was accepted in about a week.

May I ask if this journal has a page limit? Thank you!

SLRs能毕业就行 2021-11-12

The journal was submitted on August 4th, and the first round of comments was given until September 30th. There were three reviewers, two minor revisions, one major revision, and a moderate revision was provided. The revision time included the National Day holiday, totaling 10 days. Finally, it was uploaded on October 10th, accepted in advance on October 15th, formally accepted on October 21st, and officially published on November 9th. Overall, it was quite fast.

How can I see how many reviewers there are?

周树人 2021-10-25

How many reviewers does this journal have? Why does it keep showing only one reviewer on my end?

资深柚子 2021-09-17

A good magazine in the field of applied physics, as long as the work is creative and involves physics, the chances of getting published are quite high. I really love this journal.

仲卿 2021-09-16

Two JPD papers have already been published, a good journal of applied physics. Hope to return to the second-tier soon.
