This is a non-OA journal and one of the best journals for spinal clinical research. In recent years, its impact factor has surpassed Spine. The journal publishes less than 200 articles annually and has high requirements for submissions from Chinese researchers. Generally, four top-tier reviewers are assigned to each submission, who evaluate the novelty and workload of the work. After submitting, the editor will consider whether to send it for review within about 2 days. If similar work can be found, it will be rejected immediately (for Chinese researchers), but the editor will provide basic reasons for rejection. The review process usually takes about 15 or 30 days after submission, and the editor will provide the final decision within 2 days. In case of a tragedy, an appeal can be attempted. If major revisions are requested, it is hoped that they will be substantial.
