A work on device fabrication, which has experienced ups and downs, finally sees the light of day. Here, I would like to share my submission experience.

I submitted to EES, but it was not sent for review. The editor asked me to submit to JMCA and promised to send it for review, but I did not agree.

I submitted to AFM, underwent major revisions, minor revisions, and ultimately rejection. The editor rejected my submission.

I did not submit to Small.

I submitted to ACS Nano.
- On January 22nd, I submitted my paper and the next day it was assigned an editor and sent for external review.
- On February 7th, I received two rounds of minor revisions, one round of major revisions, and ultimately rejection. The editor requested major revisions and gave me two months' time. However, I had to request a one-month extension due to writing a funding application.
- On May 7th, I submitted the revised manuscript.
- On May 31st, I received minor revisions and was given one month to complete them.

Submitted on 4/27, previously submitted to Joule and AEM. The former requested a transfer to CRPS, and the latter requested a transfer to Small. After discussing with my advisor, I will try submitting to ACS Nano (I have submitted a few times before, but I don't have much hope).

On 4/28, I sent an email to allocate associate editors.

In between, I waited intermittently for 14 days (it was so agonizing!).

On 5/11, I sent an email in the evening to notify that it was sent for review, which means it met the requirements.

As of 5/23, it is still under review. I hope to receive the revision information soon.
