It has been 4 and a half months since I submitted it, but the result of the first trial has not come out yet. It's too slow.

SUXINZHILA 2023-07-20

Received a reply at 7:20. There were six reviewers. The combined review comments estimate to be over 40 points... However, fortunately, they all recommend publication after modifications.

It has been two and a half months, and I am also fed up. I strongly advise everyone not to invest.

SUXINZHILA 2023-07-10

2 months is quite normal. This journal is just slow like this, so please wait a little longer, OP.

My Douyin account has been banned for two and a half months now, and there has been no news at all. It's too slow, not just slow, but really frustrating. I regret not using overseas edition. From now on, JLT will be added to my blacklist. That's it, anyway, the quality is just average.

SUXINZHILA 2023-06-30

This year, I have submitted twice. The first time, it took about 3 days to enter "Under review", and after one month, the result was returned and sent for editing. However, the editor rejected it directly... I thought it had already been reviewed externally for a month.

The second time I submitted, it entered "Under review" on the same day, and today happens to be one month later, but it still shows "Under review" above. I don't know if it has passed the editing stage and is now being externally reviewed.

Just wondering, how long does it take to officially go live after accepting? I accepted in early March, paid the excess page fee in early April, and now it's late May and still in Early Access with no updates!

I have never seen such a slow speed. It's been almost six months, and the first-instance opinion has not yet been returned.

Can I ask a question here? Do we need to hide the author's information when submitting a post to JLT?

Teentop 2023-02-10

May I ask what happened next after "Awaiting DE Decision"?

我要成为大娱乐家 2022-12-24

The review process was very fast, and the first round of comments was returned in less than a month. The questions asked were very professional, and the feedback provided was highly targeted, which greatly helped improve the paper. The second round of review was completed in just over twenty days, and the paper was directly accepted!

You can communicate. After receiving it, there will be a final proof version that requires your confirmation. At that time, you can make your requests in the confirmation system.

Submitted on August 22nd, it is still under review at the moment. Something feels off.

Can I correspond in this journal?

光学photonics 2022-12-05

I submitted twice this year, one rejection and one acceptance.

Compared to my classmates who submitted to JLT before, the processing speed of my two submissions this year has significantly improved. The first rejection received reviewer comments within half a month. The second submission received minor revision comments after about a month, and the entire process from submission to acceptance took around 40 days.

In my opinion, the quality of papers in the JLT journal is stronger than in OE, and the review requirements are higher than in OE. Previously, the review process for JLT was longer and much slower than OE. However, this year, this disadvantage has been greatly improved. At least in terms of my personal experience, the processing time for my two submissions is no longer slower than OE. The journal is also friendly as it does not charge any fees.

Currently, the impact factor is 4.439.

2 months is normal.

Hello, may I ask how long it usually takes to receive the AE recommendation? Thank you!

ALon: Has the status of your article changed? Mine has been in "submitted" status for half a month.

smiledong 2022-11-03

It has been almost 2 months since submission, and it is still under review. I wonder how much longer it will continue.

光学大白 2022-10-28

It takes 1-2 weeks to enter the peer review stage, and the first review usually takes an average of 2 months. It won't be quick.

ALon 2022-10-25

May I ask how long it generally takes to move to the next step after submission? It has been one week so far.

liuweibboy 2022-09-23

The first article had four reviewers, all of whom provided positive feedback, and it was accepted with major revisions. The second article had two reviewers, one with a positive opinion and one with a negative opinion, but after making the necessary changes, both reviewers agreed to publish it.

Hello, how long does it usually take for the DE decision to be made?

光学大白 2022-05-23

In the field of fiber optic sensing, the first review process takes approximately one and a half months, and after major revisions, the second review is received two weeks later. Generally, the first review process takes about two months.

I would like to ask, what does it mean to go from "Awaiting AE assignment" to "Awaiting DE Decision"?

辉辉太狼 2022-03-21

I would like to ask, if I have also been rejected after revising the manuscript according to the OE's comments, can I directly attach my response to the reviewers when submitting to JLT?
