The current journal review efficiency is very high, taking 3 and a half months from submission to acceptance (major revision), including the Christmas and Spring Festival holidays. Otherwise, it should have been even faster. The reviewers' questions are very professional and meticulous.

After two weeks of being under review, the required reviews were completed. However, the RRC status has remained unchanged for over a week. Does anyone know the reason behind this?

The speed is extremely slow. Submitted in August 2020, accepted in October 2021. The first review took 8 months, and after major revisions it took another month to revise. The second review took 2 months, and after minor revisions it took 1 month to revise. Finally, it was accepted in just ten days. The key point is that I graduated in June 2021.

It has been 9 months since the submission, and it has been under review all this time. The only change is occasional updates to the dates. It's been so long that a child could have been born by now, yet the paper has not undergone the first round of review. I wonder what the editor is doing.
