2021.3.28 Due to conflicting opinions from the two reviewers, the editor sought another reviewer, and it is once again under review.
2021.4.28 After a month with no updates from the external reviewer, I sent an email to the editor inquiring about the progress. The editor replied that it is still with the reviewers and they have already been reminded.
2021.4.29 Today it changed to "Decision in process," and I feel like it might be rejected.
I wasted three and a half months, and I am preparing to find another journal.

A meta-analysis on COVID-19 was rejected by a high-scored journal, so it was submitted to AJEM.
Submitted on January 17, 2021.
Revised on January 27, 2021 (revised deadline extended to May 18). Due to it being the first time submitting an English article, two reviewers pointed out numerous grammar issues, which affected the review. It was embarrassing. They also mentioned other problems in the article. A total of 3 pages of revision comments in Word format.
Revised manuscript submitted on March 20, 2021.
Under review again on March 22, 2021.
The current outcome is unknown. Just wanted to share this with everyone and hope for good luck.
