The impact factor of CJA is indeed high, but in terms of recognition within the aerospace industry, AIAA J is considered to be better. If one is not a scholar strongly related to this field, CJA's impact factor is indeed superior, and it is recommended to submit to CJA, as the review process is also faster.

I had the opportunity to submit to CJA once before, and both reviewers (with 6+1 opinions) were relatively satisfied, but for some reason, it was rejected after revisions.

Last year, I published an article which I personally believe is one of the top journals in the field of aerospace, second only to "Progress in Aerospace Science". However, the impact factor is not strong enough. This year, it fell to Q2 and was surpassed by AST and CJA. It was even surpassed by MDPI's "Aerospace". However, internationally, AIAA Journal is still more recognized. Recently, I submitted another article and hope it gets accepted.

The aerospace field is still considered a top-tier journal, although it is in the field of engineering aerospace. However, what I am doing is more like mathematical and theoretical research, very fundamental. I have submitted once in 2018 and once in 2021, and both were accepted. Typically, there are three reviewers, with one usually being a reviewer from AIAA or other journals, and the other two may be chosen by the associate editor. The reviewers are very professional and review the papers very carefully. However, the review process is relatively long, both times taking about six months.
