In total, it took a little over 2 months, which was fast. It combined 5 years of field data with field photographs. Three reviewers provided feedback (one major revision, one minor revision, and one direct acceptance), and the editor requested minor revisions within a 15-day timeframe. The reviewer comments mainly focused on language and the addition of ecological data. After resubmission, all three reviewers agreed to accept it half a month later.
