FC is simply too slow! Last year I submitted an article, waited for 2 months, then spent another month with the editor, only to be directly rejected. I quickly submitted it to Fond Research International, and it was promptly reviewed and accepted. The journal is good, but the submission process is really dragging. If the editors have such a heavy workload, why do they publish thousands of articles in a year and still not impact the impact factor...
I submitted it on May 25th, and it is still "Submitted to Journal" as of May 31st.
