After more than a month, I checked and the editor has not been assigned yet.

The paper went from being considered for a top-tier journal to a lower-tier one, and now I am submitting it to this fourth-tier journal.
The editor rejected it directly without sending it for review, citing the reason that there is a large volume of submissions and my paper lacks innovation.
The first-round comments from three experts in the second-tier journal did not indicate this.
I don't know if the editor is not familiar with our field or if a fourth-tier journal has the same standards as a top-tier one.
It could also be because they only publish a few dozen papers per year.
Regardless, in terms of speed, I do not recommend it as it is very slow.
Considering factors such as journal impact, publication volume, and reputation, submitting to this journal is not worthwhile.
Based on my submission experience, I advise everyone to avoid it.

The first review took three months to complete. The reviewer was very professional and provided helpful comments for the article. After one month of revision and submission, it took two more months for the article to be directly accepted. This journal publishes only a few dozen articles each year, which are lengthy and emphasize the discussion and analysis sections.
