淡墨青衫 2022-01-28

This is the slowest journal I have ever submitted to, without a doubt. On June 10, 2021, I submitted to the journal. On July 26, it was with the editor. On December 12, I received minor revisions. On December 23, I resubmitted. On December 26, it was with the editor again. Finally, on January 27, 2022, it was accepted. It took more than seven months. This journal is the mirror journal of Optical Materials, but it requires a fee for open access and is not indexed in SCI, so it does not have an impact factor. The future prospects are not very promising. If it weren't for the invitation to submit, I wouldn't have chosen this journal. Although accepting the invitation is not as good as not accepting it, rejecting it would have at least allowed me to submit to a SCI Q2 journal, so it wouldn't have been a waste of an article. (The only benefit of invitations is not having to pay fees.)
