The speed of manuscript review is indeed fast. Within one month of the first review, there are three reviewers: one major revision, one minor revision, and one rejection with vague reasons. The associate editor suggests a major revision. In the second review, the reviewer who initially rejected the manuscript suggests a minor revision, and the manuscript is still being revised. This journal has a fast review and publication process, so it's unclear why it has been flagged. Even the self-citation rate of PoF, which also has a fast review and publication process, is so impressive and hasn't been flagged.

Seanupupup 2023-03-30

Zone 2 of the space industry, the quality is still acceptable. The key is that compared to other OA journals, the reviewers are very responsible and have provided more than 20 suggestions for revisions before and after. Currently in the process of making the revisions.

carton83 2023-03-25

In March 2023, a total of 118 articles were published, with approximately 60 articles coming from foreign countries. The number of contributions from Chinese individuals in journals has decreased.

skyfall7 2023-03-24

Recently, a lot of SCI papers have been removed from WOS. Is there a possibility that AEROSPACE could be affected? It was just warned by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Seanupupup 2023-03-22

The reviewer is very responsible and has provided a total of 15 modification suggestions throughout the process. The quality of the aerospace-related article is still acceptable.

carton83 2023-03-06

There are too many articles published, and they are fast, but they are also expensive. This is the original sin. The opinions of the reviewers are still acceptable, better than the comments of general third and fourth-tier journals.

wanduzi 2023-02-15

This journal is trash, it accepts almost anyone. There is a high probability of a warning next year.

Crush 2023-02-15

The review process was fast. I submitted the paper on December 23, 2022, and received the first major revision comments on January 18, 2023. I then submitted the revised manuscript on January 22. On January 27, I received the second round of revision comments, and on February 4, I resubmitted the revised manuscript. On February 13, it was accepted, and after proofreading, it was published online on February 15.

Previously, I have also submitted to other EI and SCI journals, including the English version of the Journal of Aeronautics. Overall, I don't feel it was difficult to submit, and the requirements were not as strict as CJA. The reviewers were responsible and provided objective comments. Although the publication fee was expensive, isn't it normal to pay for OA? Otherwise, how can journals generate income if not through fees? It may be due to the high number of submissions, but the increase in impact factor indicates that high submission volume does not necessarily mean a decrease in quality. I don't understand why there is a warning.

carton83 2023-02-04

It is estimated that the number of contributors has sharply decreased. A post count of 800+ is not considered high.

风枫之 2023-02-04

The reason for being promoted to Zone 2 is because his impact factor is still good. The warning is due to a significant increase in the number of publications, from 399 in 2021 to 809 in 2022, with suspicion of a decline in quality. If the number of publications does not increase significantly this year, it is estimated that he will be removed from the warning list.

我是一只小白 2023-02-04

I really don't understand the behavior of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. On one hand, they promote it to the 2nd tier, but on the other hand, they issue a warning. The explanation for the low warning is that the influence of this journal has significantly decreased. But if the influence has decreased, why would it still be promoted to the 2nd tier? I have to say that the relevant assessment rules are really unreasonable.

yang98 2023-02-03

Actually, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' warning system provides an explanation: high publication volume, high fees, and fast speed. It has taken a large amount of scientific research funds in China, so it gives a warning to some journals. Although I have not submitted to this journal, the fact that it can reach the second tier indicates that its quality is still good. Giving it a low warning is probably due to concerns about its excessive article submissions.

cocoalpha 2023-02-03

I think it's fine. Before submitting, I didn't know it was a warning. After knowing, I just didn't submit it. In December, I submitted a paper and I think the editor was very responsible. The reviewer's comments were also very fair, as long as I thought it was worth a curious read. Moreover, the warning from the Chinese Academy of Sciences is not a paper evaluation, let alone a negation of the research achievements published in warning journals.

fdn_ae 2023-02-01

Do you still want this journal to be TOP? Don't you have any idea about the composition of MDPI yourself?

科研废材都重名 2023-02-01

Ironically, the Chinese Academy of Sciences has only recently upgraded aerospace to a second-tier journal. It is possible that it may be elevated to a top-tier journal next year, highlighting its inherent contradictions. This is purely a case of going along with the trend without any basis. The rapid development and excellent service of the journal are its original sin. A tree that stands out in the forest will be destroyed by the wind; a heap that stands on the shore will be swept away by the current; one who walks taller than others will be criticized by the crowd. The ancients were truly not deceiving me.

Alfred lee 2023-01-31

Indeed can't invest anymore, this is really unlucky, need to be careful with MDPI in the future.

carton83 2023-01-31

This journal has been included in the warning list of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is fortunate to not have published in it.

carton83 2023-01-31

In the "2023 International Journal Alert List (Trial)" released on January 31, 2023, AEROSPACE belongs to the category of journals with a low alert level. We kindly ask everyone to carefully consider submitting their articles to this journal.

Hello, when replying to reviewers' comments, should I not upload the revised manuscript first? Should I wait until the reviewers think the changes are satisfactory before uploading? Also, when replying to reviewers' comments, should I accurately indicate the content in the reply? Thank you!

The speed is really fast. It took one month for the article to be delivered and accepted. The editor is responsible, and the reviewers are very professional, providing very constructive suggestions for revisions.

The number of journal publications has increased significantly in the past two years, which is worth noting.

carton83 2022-11-10

The review speed is really fast. I submitted the manuscript on October 16th and received the review comments on October 31st. The two reviewers provided a total of 13 comments. It feels like a reliable review. I revised it on November 8th and it was accepted on November 10th. However, the fee is a bit expensive, 1600 CHF. I don't know if it will be possible to be included in Q1 in 2022.

Received Date: 27 September 2022
Revised Date: 6 November 2022
Accepted Date: 8 November 2022
Submission to First Decision (Days): 40
Decision: Accept in current form
Decision Date: 7 November 2022
The reviewers were very thorough and provided many improvements. However, all the comments were positive or suggested improvements, indicating a good evaluation. The review process took about a month, with one round of minor revisions and acceptance within a week. I hope the journal continues to improve and attracts more high-quality articles.
