Currently, it will take some time for EML to achieve the same level of influence as JMPS and IJSS in the field of mechanics. It feels like EML is now more like the APL of the mechanics field.

A journal highly recognized in the field of solid mechanics, it requires articles to be very innovative. My advisor mentioned that this journal is considered second only to JMPS in the field of solid mechanics and is currently becoming less popular. Although its quartile ranking and impact factor are not as high as CS, IJMS, IJES, and other journals, it enjoys a considerable level of recognition domestically and internationally with great potential. Our research group finds it easy to get papers accepted by CS and IJMS (around seven to eight papers every year), while this journal has only accepted four papers so far and has been rejected many times.
