In the second round, I still received a major revision, and then I sent it back to the reviewers. After the second round of review, the editor changed it to minor, which took about 10 days. If you received a major revision instead of an accept with minor in the previous round, it is highly likely that it still needs to be reviewed by the reviewers. Of course, it is not ruled out that the editor may decide not to send it to the reviewers directly (I had a previous experience with Ecological Economics where the editor decided not to send it back to the reviewers and gave me an accept with minor directly after a major revision). The email I received stated that the paper can be accepted for publication after revising according to the reviewers' suggestions. This means that after revising and resubmitting, it can be accepted without further review. However, if you receive a separate request for a major revision, then you will need to make further changes and go through another round of review, but it is not certain whether it will be sent to the reviewers.

This darn article took me from July of last year until now to finish, the efficiency of this journal is really slow. The editor invited me for the longest review process I have ever experienced, which took 50 days. By the way, as a foreign reviewer, I am really responsible. I went through a total of three rounds of review, providing feedback on 3000 words in total. In the end, they even asked me to reduce the similarity of my article to 12%... My other articles have never received this kind of treatment...
