A very good journal.

Great journal, it would be even better if the self-citation rate could be reduced further.

February 8, 2022 Submission
Received major revision comments on July 30, 2022, from three reviewers 1, 2, and 4. Although it required major revisions, the reviewers' opinions were generally in agreement and positive.
Resubmitted after making revisions on August 20, 2022.
Received second-round review comments on September 10, 2022. Reviewers 1 and 2 agreed to accept the paper, while reviewer 3 provided incorrect comments and requested further revisions.
Contacted the editorial department on September 11, 2022 to report the error in reviewer 3's comments.
Received feedback from the editorial department on September 29, 2022, instructing to disregard reviewer 3's comments and submit the revised manuscript again.
Accepted on September 30, 2022.
Summary: The editor values the connection between the article and the journal's audience, and places particular emphasis on scientific contributions. The reviewers' comments were also thorough, although the initial reviewer selection process was slow. However, the editor handled the manuscript according to the specified timeline, and overall, the difficulty of submission was moderately high.

It has been a month, and I still haven't found a reviewer. I am speechless.

5.24 submitted to journal
5.24 editor invited
6.2 with editor
6.4 under review
6.27 required review complete
6.28 major revision
7.24 revision submitted to journal
7.25 under review
8.15 accept

This journal is not as slow as it is said online. The speed feels acceptable.
I hope the journal continues to improve!

DemonRivendell 2022-08-11

When I review the manuscript, the review confirmation time is 3 days, and the deadline for submitting the review results is 21 days. For cases like yours, where there is no review result after several months, you can send an email to inquire with the editor.

How long does a first-instance trial generally take?

Xiaojing213 2022-07-19

May I ask how long it took for you to receive the review results? It has been two months without any news for me, and I'm starting to lose patience.

Xiaojing213 2022-07-19

Why is the review cycle of this journal so long? It has been two months and it is still under review since I submitted it on May 14th, 2022. There has been no update on the progress so far. What should I do????

zny 2022-06-13

Not bad. Just celebrating my first submission to SCI and the review comments were very professional and the process was also fast.

How can two opinions be rejected like this?

lft 2022-05-24

Is this journal very strict? Are two different opinions being rejected like this?

来自幽谷 2022-05-24

After eight months of the first review, it was rejected. There were two reviewers, one of whom suggested major revisions while the other praised the article, saying that it touched upon a truly interesting topic and, in their opinion, was well organized, well written, and based on a solid methodological approach. The reason for the editor's rejection was lack of innovation, which is quite frustrating.

Does "decision in process" mean rejection?

Yorick 2022-05-04

Posted on January 15, 2022
Received first round of review comments on February 26, 2022, with major revisions suggested by five reviewers.
Submitted response to review comments on March 26, 2022.
Only two comments were addressed before the review process was considered complete on April 17, 2022.
As of now (May 4, 2022), the review process is still marked as complete.

Last September, I submitted my manuscript. A month later, the required reviews were completed, and I thought I would receive feedback. However, after a few days, the status changed to "under review". I waited for another six months, until a few days ago when the status changed back to "required reviews completed". I thought that finally there would be a decision, but today when I checked, the status changed back to "under review". Why is this happening?

herbert0815 2022-04-19

Submit at the end of January, then the first round of major revision in early April, complete the revision in June, with two minor suggestions, and the second round of revisions completed and released in early July.

shenyss 2022-04-01

Before going through the external review, it was already decided to reject the submission. The editor just needs to provide the reason for the rejection.

gucj 2022-03-28

Is your decision in process status after "with editor" or has it not yet reached "under review"?

木木子啊 2022-03-16

No matter how many times I submit, it always says "decision in process" after being with the editor. And the decision lasts for ten days, unchanged unless asked. As soon as I inquire, it gets rejected... Can't they reject it more efficiently? It's simply a waste of time...

The comments of this journal are not fully displayed on Letpub. I updated two comments in early February this year, but now I can't see them anymore. This journal has been promoted to a top-tier journal, and the number of submissions has been increasing gradually. It is impossible that no one has updated comments and progress here for so long. I hope the management can check whether there is a bug in the comment system of this journal on this forum. Thank you!

聪明的小明 2021-08-16

The editor is very responsible, and the first review cycle is relatively long, but the time point of "under review" is often updated because it is difficult to find reviewers. After the first major revision, it is directly accepted upon resubmission.

huanglongyang 2021-08-04

Submitted in early September 20, external review was conducted four days later, and one month later on October 17th, received review comments (major revisions). The revisions took about a month and were submitted on December 3rd. A week later, it was sent for review and on January 10th, received review comments. Both experts agreed to accept it, but one expert had a small question. The revisions took two weeks and were submitted on January 25th. A week later, it was sent for review again. The status remained as "required review completed" until early March. Initially, it was expected to receive results within two to three days, but after waiting for two weeks with no response, on March 20th, an email was sent to the editor inquiring about the status. The email was not replied to, but the manuscript was directly accepted the next day. Overall, the editor was responsible and reviewed the manuscript according to the timeline, without any delays.

Excuse me, this type of journal indexed by Elsevier, according to the author's guidelines, requires single-column format, double spacing, inclusion of images, and a maximum of 20 pages. This simply doesn't allow for much content to be written! How should I handle this situation? My paper is 7000 words, which is quite standard, neither too much nor too little.

The translation of "自己重投的" into English is "self-reinvested".

一学习就变不可爱 2021-03-03

May I ask if it is a suggestion from the editor to resubmit, or did you resubmit it yourself?
