Verified Reviews

Before submitting, I specifically downloaded the relevant papers from this journal. After reading them, I found that they were poorly written, so I confidently submitted my own paper.

Review results:

Submitted in January 2021, received a response for the first review in July 2021, 6 months for the first review to be completed.

There were 3 reviewers, 2 were positive with not many modifications suggested, and they even provided related articles for citation. The remaining 1 reviewer was negative, emphasizing the lack of theoretical content and insufficient contribution.

Associate Editor: Suggested acceptance after revisions.

Action Editor: Rejected and prohibited from resubmission.

Conclusion: The review process was excessively long and the journal lacked any sense of human touch.

In other foreign journals, a situation like this would usually allow for major revisions or a chance to resubmit. However, not only did this journal delay for 6 months, but the rejection was also very thorough.

The article was initially submitted to a journal in Zone 1, but it was rejected. I submitted it to this one instead. I thought I had put a lot of effort into this work. The reviewers' comments were quite positive, affirming the novelty and volume of the work. Their suggestions mainly focused on language expression and graphs. Personally, I don't understand why the editor directly asked for it to be changed into a letter (no specific reasons were given by the AE).

What's especially frustrating is that the AE recommendation took more than 40 days, and I held back from urging them. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, I asked about it, and the result came back three days later. The first review process took five months.

Currently, I have resubmitted it, as a letter does not fulfill the graduation requirements.
