Aims and Scope

Advances in Materials Science and Engineering is a broad scope journal that publishes articles in all areas of materials science and engineering including, but not limited to:

-Chemistry and fundamental properties of matter
-Material synthesis, fabrication, manufacture, and processing
-Magnetic, electrical, thermal, and optical properties of materials
-Strength, durability, and mechanical behaviour of materials
-Consideration of materials in structural design, modelling, and engineering
-Green and renewable materials, and consideration of materials’ life cycles
-Materials in specialist applications (such as medicine, energy, aerospace, and nanotechnology)

I commented just yesterday, and I received a rejection notice in the early morning. During this period, I sent two reminders, and the second one resulted in a rejection the next day, stating that it did not fit within the journal's scope. It took a month to reach the editor-in-chief after going through the editorial department, and now they are telling me it doesn't fit the scope? Is it because I submitted it to a special issue? I feel that the guest editor is not responsible, and they are also Chinese.

accepted on 2022-08-26. The process of inviting reviewers in the early stage is a bit long. The comments provided by the reviewers are quite professional, and the acceptance notice was given approximately two weeks after the revisions were made. Additionally, the publication fee is a bit high, at $2500.
