Aims and Scope
Spectrochimica Acta, Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy (SAA) is an interdisciplinary journal which spans from basic to applied aspects of optical spectroscopy in chemistry, medicine, biology, and materials science.
The journal publishes original scientific papers that feature high-quality spectroscopic data and analysis. From the broad range of optical spectroscopies, the emphasis is on electronic, vibrational or rotational spectra of molecules, rather than on spectroscopy based on magnetic moments.
Criteria for publication in SAA are novelty, uniqueness, and outstanding quality. Routine applications of spectroscopic techniques and computational methods are not appropriate.
Topics of particular interest of Spectrochimica Acta Part A include, but are not limited to:

Spectroscopy and dynamics of bioanalytical, biomedical, environmental, and atmospheric sciences,
Novel experimental techniques or instrumentation for molecular spectroscopy,
Novel theoretical and computational methods,
Novel applications in photochemistry and photobiology,
Novel interpretational approaches as well as advances in data analysis based on electronic or vibrational spectroscopy.

Submitted on Oct 16, 2022, a decision was made after almost a month. It continued for 5 days, and I thought it was a rejection from the recommended journal by Elsevier because it took so long. However, it turned out to be a major revision, causing unnecessary panic. I was given a month to make the revisions and resubmit by November 15th. There were two reviewers, one of whom raised many questions, while the other requested an increase in the sample size. However, I had already used up all my samples, so I politely replied that I couldn't increase the sample size but could make careful modifications. The second reviewer accepted this response. After 20 days, there was another major revision, with the first reviewer raising 10 more questions. It's rare to encounter two major revisions, but this time I experienced it. After making the necessary revisions, the paper was accepted on January 5th. I feel that this journal is quite fast, as long as you respond to the reviewers' comments accurately, there are no issues. They are friendly towards the authors, and the review process is relatively short.

It took about a week for external review, and then came the long wait. In mid-September, we received feedback from two reviewers. Reviewer A rejected the submission, while Reviewer B suggested minor revisions and provided 12 comments.
During this period, I was busy with revisions and resubmissions of other papers and didn't have time to address it.
I began working on it at the beginning of October and resubmitted it around the 28th. Around November 21st, we received the results of the second review. Reviewer A expressed acceptance, but requested some modifications to characters and units. Reviewer B had a positive opinion. I made the revisions on the same day and returned the manuscript. On November 29th, I was informed of its acceptance.
Once again, I express my respect to Judy E Kim! I wish everyone success!
PS: As long as the answers are sincere, comprehensive, and detailed, we have a good chance of success!
