Aims and Scope

Now in its fifth decade of publication, Psychological Medicine is a leading international journal in the fields of psychiatry, related aspects of psychology and basic sciences. From 2014, there are 16 issues a year, each featuring original articles reporting key research being undertaken worldwide, together with shorter editorials by distinguished scholars and an important book review section. The journal's success is clearly demonstrated by a consistently high impact factor.

The overall process is indeed quite lengthy. The manuscript was submitted at the end of September 2020, with one major revision and one minor revision. It was finally accepted in early September 2021, taking nearly 11 months. Students in the graduate graduation cycle should carefully consider this. The editors are excellent, and the reviewers are very strict. When submitting for the first time, try to avoid obvious loopholes, as they can easily be caught and not let go.
