Very frustrating, the first review came back in about 1-2 months, minor revisions. The three reviewers' comments were not harsh, and after careful modification, I thought the problem was not big.

Then the mysterious happened, waited for 4 months with no response. Couldn't wait any longer, started urging the editor, sent 3-4 reminders, and every time the reply was that they were processing it, but then there was no news. Another 3 months passed. Couldn't bear it anymore, told the editor that I was withdrawing the submission, and in the end, I didn't even receive a reply. Thankfully, it was not accepted as my first SCI paper. I heard from my supervisor that it could be due to the UK pandemic and this journal had multiple retractions in 2020. I strongly advise against submitting to this journal.

The above is all based on my personal experience. It is possible that I had extremely irresponsible editors due to bad luck. It was a very bad experience.

Submitted the paper on May 6th, received major revision comments on June 2nd, submitted the revised version on June 20th, directly accepted on July 16th, currently waiting for the payment notification.
In general, if the paper is very much in line with the scope of the journal, it will be processed quickly. My colleague's research topic is relatively niche, so it took about two months to receive the review comments, and after major revisions, it went through another round of minor revisions, taking a total of over six months to be accepted.
