Aims and Scope
Image and Vision Computing has as a primary aim the provision of an effective medium of interchange for the results of high quality theoretical and applied research fundamental to all aspects of image interpretation and computer vision. The journal publishes work that proposes new image interpretation and computer vision methodology or addresses the application of such methods to real world scenes. It seeks to strengthen a deeper understanding in the discipline by encouraging the quantitative comparison and performance evaluation of the proposed methodology. The coverage includes: image interpretation, scene modelling, object recognition and tracking, shape analysis, monitoring and surveillance, active vision and robotic systems, SLAM, biologically-inspired computer vision, motion analysis, stereo vision, document image understanding, character and handwritten text recognition, face and gesture recognition, biometrics, vision-based human-computer interaction, human activity and behavior understanding, data fusion from multiple sensor inputs, image databases.

Thank you, thank you. I have never paid attention to the v version. The editor sent me 7 peer reviews for my paper. Currently, 3 have been accepted, but one is still pending. I should still be on the normal process now. Previously, there was one day when the required reviews were completed, but then it changed back to under review. It has been the fourth day now.

As for your situation, it is possible that among the 5 papers you submitted, the remaining three did not agree and did not meet the required number of reviewers, so the editor sent another batch. If the feedback that comes back is not good (assuming it is a reject), the assistant editor should directly reject it for you. So, I guess it is still the normal process, but the reviewers may be too busy.

The review process was fast, and I was able to receive the review comments in about 2 months. After the first round of revisions, I made the necessary changes and waited for about 2 months to receive an acceptance. The journal editor was very responsible. Initially, my submission was directly rejected, and the editor requested additional experimentation and complexity analysis. After making the revisions as per the editor's suggestions, I resubmitted the paper, and it was directly sent to the reviewers. The reviewers had very few comments, and I passed the first round of revisions easily. Overall, I feel that following the editor's suggestions and making thorough revisions greatly improved the quality of my article and increased the chances of acceptance.
