Aims and Scope

Land is an international and cross-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal of land system science, landscape, soil–sediment–water systems, urban study, land–climate interactions, water–energy–land–food (WELF) nexus, biodiversity research and health nexus, land modelling and data processing, ecosystem services, and multifunctionality and sustainability etc., published monthly online by MDPI. The International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE), European Land-use Institute (ELI), and Landscape Institute (LI) are affiliated with Land, and their members receive a discount on the article processing charge.

The content coincidentally aligns with a topic in the journal. After submitting the manuscript, it was assigned to an editor within half a day and then sent for review. The review comments were received approximately 12 days later (consistent with the time displayed on the journal's homepage). One reviewer provided very good comments, but they were somewhat difficult to address. After making significant revisions, the manuscript was accepted for publication.

It went relatively smoothly. Both experts' opinions were good for the first time, with one expert suggesting major revisions. After making two changes, it was finally accepted. The processing speed has always been on track, from start to acceptance taking exactly one month.
